Tenerife Climate

Tenerife is known internationally as the “Island of Eternal Spring” (Isla de la Eterna Primavera).The island, being on a latitude of the Sahara Desert and Florida, enjoys a warm climate year-round with an average of 20-25 °C in the winter and 25-30 °C in the summer and high sunshine totals. The island is approximately 2000 miles south of mainland Spain.

The wettest month is December with an average of 52mm of rain. The best month to swim in the sea is in September when the average sea temperature is 24°C (75°F).
